How to play
Connect five stones in a line.
Connect five or more stones horizontally, vertically or diagonally to win. We use freestyle Gomoku (freestyle-v1) .
- Basic rules
- 15 × 15 intersections · Black plays first
Overlines, double threes and double fours are allowed
Online: 90 seconds per move, timeout loses · AI: no time limit
A full board without a winner is a draw - Mouse
- Hover over an empty intersection, then click.
- Mobile
- Select a point and press Place to confirm.
- Keyboard
- Tab to the board, arrows to move, Enter/Space to place, Esc to cancel.
- Play AI
- Choose easy, normal or hard, and black, white or random. Hints, undo and completed-game review are available.
- Play online
- Use quick match, public rooms or private invitations. Tabs in one browser share a guest. Draws need both players' consent. Games end without a result after four hours.
- Move clock
- Online games allow 90 seconds per turn. Running out of time loses the game. Each valid move starts a new 90-second turn. The clock pauses during reconnection and resumes with the remaining time if both players return within 60 seconds. Reloading does not reset the clock. AI games have no time limit.
- Reconnect
- You have 60 seconds to reconnect. Explicitly leaving an active game counts as resignation.
