Play free online Gomoku with friends or other players. Invite someone to a private room, join a public room or use quick match. No signup or download is required.
Create a friend room and share its link or eight-character code privately. Tabs in one browser share the same guest and seat. Use separate devices, browsers or a private window for two players. Anyone with the invite can take an empty seat.
Quick match first looks for an available public seat, then pairs waiting players in a new room. You may select waiting players only. Private invitations are excluded. If nobody is available, the wait is shown honestly and can be cancelled. Bots are never presented as human players.
Moves pause after a disconnection. Reconnect within 30 seconds to receive the latest server state. One absent player loses after the grace period; if both stay offline, the game ends without a result. Server restarts also end rooms without assigning wins or losses.
Accounts are optional. Members can keep a profile, win/loss/draw statistics and result summaries for games completed while signed in, and view them after signing in on another device. AI results are device-reported; online results are server-recorded and counted separately. Earlier guest records are not imported. The global leaderboard counts only eligible online games between two members. AI and guest games do not affect ratings; freestyle Gomoku, Renju, Swap and Swap2 are ranked separately. See the leaderboard for full eligibility rules. No betting, prizes or paid game currency are offered.
New single and online games allow 50 seconds per turn; timeout loses. A valid move resets the next turn to 50 seconds. Online reconnection pauses the clock for up to 30 seconds. Reloading never resets it. Single-player time keeps running in other tabs; undo resets the practice clock.
Freestyle Gomoku: Either colour wins with five or more in a row. No forbidden moves. Basic Renju: Black opens in the centre; double-threes, double-fours and overlines are blocked. Black wins with exactly five, White with five or more. Tournament swap openings are not included.
Place one of the 26 openings, black–white–black; the other player chooses a color. White plays move four, Black offers non-symmetric fifth moves, then White selects one and plays move six. Soosõrv-8: after move four, White declares 1–8 fifth-move offers; the other player can swap again. RIF: exactly two fifth-move offers, with no second color swap after move four. These two Renju openings are currently unranked. Each move or choice has 50 seconds; full tournament regulations are not implemented.
